Saturday 8th November 2008 • Competitors arrive and stay in a hotel in Dubai Sunday 9th November 2008 • Competitors transported to base camp 1, South of Abu Dhabi near to Liwa Oasis. Monday 10th November 2008 • 45km Competitors head north across dunes and tracks to camp 2 Tuesday 11th November 2008 • 55km across the Tropic of Cancer to camp 3, south of Abu Dhabi Wednesday 12th November 2008 • 55 km north east across desert between Abu Dhabi and Dubai Thursday 13th November 2008 • 70km long day, the runners track east and then north east to finish south of Dubai Friday 14th November 2008 • 25km Final day finishing in Dubai City • Competitors stay in a hotel in Dubai, Gala Dinner in the evening.
